It was an incredible experience. As the numbers show you did an incredible good job. There was so much creativity! It was a lot of fun to read all your submissions. I thank you so much for this!
I thought it could be of interest to tell you about some numbers of the product naming contest.
- Number of persons I sent a notification about the contest: 32
- Number of autoreplies because person was/is on vacancy: 1
- Number of autoreplies because email address is invalid: 1
- Number of persons who submitted names: 16
- Number of emails with submissions: 22
- Number of emails to the supposed email address productname@mac.com: 11
- Number of “unknown” persons who submitted names: 0
So what does this mean? Slightly more than 50% have sent back really great product name suggestions. It also seems like no one forwarded the information to someone else (everyone wanted to get the reward for herself I think). And yes - I’ll ask those other people nasty questions about the fact that they haven’t responded. 
Near 50% ignored the fact that I asked to send an email to productname@mac.com (which was not a problem of course). I think the big mistake was to sent the notification emails from my primary mail account instead of using the desired mail address. A lot of people just send a reply message.
Total number of submitted names: 225
- Total number of submissions of the same name: 4
- Fastest submission: Werner K. after 19 minutes - you know Werner that you are still working too much!
- Most submissions: Lucas F. 93 (that’s ~40 percent of all submitted names)
