caseapps.com - home of the sofa
Finished! CASE Apps launched today.
CASE Apps is the new site that hosts our Mac applications and therefore is the successor of searchlightrss.com. Together with the launch we released Searchlight Version 1.1, our product that extends Spotlight to the server.
CASE Apps is also the new home of Sofa Control (former called Remote Control). And as I promised last week there is a new version out today. It’s still beta. The new version contains a lot of bug fixes, refinements, enhancements and some very cool scripts done by Gerald Leeb that show the possibilities of Sofa Control. If you have experience with AppleScript be sure to check out the script to control “Preview”.
There is also an introduction on how to use Sofa Control that automatically is shown on first start (or by activating help).
Of course we want to hear what you think about the new version. Either as a comment on this blog or by using the feedback form on our new site.
Note when upgrading from Remote Control: Sofa Control uses a different directory to store its data and its preferences. If you have done your own scripts you have to copy them by hand from Remote Control to Sofa Control. This will not be necessary in future versions of Sofa Control. Now Sofa Control has an import/export feature to easily share scripts :-).
